2010 Golf Committee
The purpose of the Golf Committee is increase awareness of the Club through the Steve Smith Charity Challenge and to provide substantial revenue for the Club’s operating funds and various charitable gifts.
2010 Steve Smith Charity Challenge Golf Outing - Tuesday, June 29, 2010 - at the Country Club of Lansing
The MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan is hosting the 11th Annual Steve Smith Charity Challenge. The four person scramble will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Country Club of Lansing, 2200 Moores River Drive, Lansing, Michigan, 517 484-4567. Benefiting this year's charity challenge will be the Steve Smith Pershing High School / MSU Academic Achievement Scholarship, the Mid-Michigan JA Junior Achievement and the MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan.

2009 Steve Smith Charity Challenge Golf Outing ~ a Huge Success

The MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make our 10th Annual Steve Smith Charity Challenge a huge success. The event was hosted by the Eagle Eye Golf Club. Many former Spartan players were in attendance, including Tim Bograkos, Shawn Respert, Matt Steigenga as well as our host, Steve Smith. We were pleased to be able to raise nearly $30,000 for three charities: Steve Smith's Pershing High School MSU Scholarship for Academic Achievement Fund; the MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan; and Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region. Thank you again to everyone who sponsored, played or donated. Your generosity helps make our outing one of the finest. Steve Smith continues to be one of MSU's finest ambassadors and is always a pleasure to work with. Alumni everywhere should be proud that we have such an outstanding individual supporting MSU.
A special thanks to Sue Hanson and Dr. Bonnie Knutson, Co-Chairs of the 2009 Golf Outing, who played, supported, volunteered and provided excellent leadership to the Golf Committee, made up of Rhonda Abood, John Black, Joanne Bridgford, Nathan Clark, Jeff Hicks, Kim Kittleman, (co-chair), Jen McCollum, Micki Pasteur, Steve Rothwell, (co-chair), and BJ Rycus.
