2009 Freshman Picnic A Big Success

On August 12, the MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan hosted a picnic for incoming MSU freshmen and their families.

More than 150 guests enjoyed Spartan spirit and camaraderie, great food, guest speakers and more.

Our thanks to our sponsors, including Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe, Collegeville Textbook Company, and Sugar Shack!

These generous area businesses helped us extend a warm welcome to our new freshmen, and made the event a great success.

    Breslin Center Tour

The Sporting Events Committee would like to thank everyone involved in our Breslin Insiders Tour. On August 19th we had nearly 100 guests tour the Breslin facilities. The tour consisted of a pre-tour Q&A with former MSU player Tim Bograkos, Director of Men's Basketball Operations Kevin Paugua, and Dorn McGaw from the Spartan Fund.

Following the dinner and Q&A we had a tour of the men's and ladies locker rooms, the new Francis Cleaves Family area, the auxiliary gyms, as well as the men's and ladies basketball offices. It was fun and special to be allowed the access to see the "inside operations" of such successful programs. It was a fun time had by all. GO GREEN

Comments & pictures from Bob Nelson: a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of touring the Breslin Center, courtesy of the MSU Alumni Association of Mid-Michigan. Thought you might enjoy seeing some "behind the scenes" photos. GO STATE
