Reservation policy regarding Mid-Michigan Alumni Club events:

As everyone knows, planning events requires a great deal of preparation and early commitments regarding space and catering. As a result, priority waiting lists are now being established for events that have capacity constraints. Once the ticket price is announced, priority will be given to those already on the list. However, reservations are only guaranteed upon receipt of payment in full within the announced deadline.



2008 Sporting Events
The purpose of the Sporting Events Committee is increase awareness of the club and offer value-added events to Club members via activities centered around various MSU sports.

MSU vs. Northwestern Game (Away) - Travel/Ticket/Accommodations Weekend Package
On October 10-12, 2008, join your fellow Spartans as we travel by deluxe motor coach to watch Coach Mark Dantonio and your Spartans take on the Northwestern Wildcats in Evanston, Illinois. The group will depart on Friday, October 10, 2008 and return on Sunday, October 12. Departure and return will be from the Okemos Park N' Ride behind the Cracker Barrell (times are TBA.) The cost of the trip is $385 which includes round trip travel in a luxurious motor coach, one ticket to the game, one ticket to the Alumni Tailgate, two night deluxe hotel accommodation at Comfort Suites Hotel in Schaumburg, IL, shopping at Woodsfield Mall, continental breakfast, box lunch, and a side trip to the Field Museum in Chicago

Space is limited to the first 50 Spartans. Reservations are only guranteed upon receipt of payment in full. The cost of the trip includes a tax deductible $10.00 donation to the MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan to help support Club activities. MSU vs. UM Family Viewing Party
Come enjoy a beautiful fall day on the MSU Campus with your fellow MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan members as we watch the Spartans take on the Wolverines on Saturday, October 25, 2008 (time TBA). This is your chance to cheer on your Spartans from a facility not normally accessible to the general public. We again have the unique opportunity this year to utilize the Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center on the campus of MSU for our event. The Smith Center is a state-of-the-art academic facility designed to assist MSU student athletes in the pursuit of their degrees. Its auditorium houses a huge screen that will allow for a perfect victory viewing. This is a family event that will allow everyone to watch the game on the big screen.

Space is limited to the first 200 Spartans. The cost for the event is $5/person for those 14 and over, and free to those under the age of 14. Registration for this event begins immediately. Insider’s Tour--Duffy Daugherty Football Building & Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center
Building on the success of last year’s Spartan Stadium Tower Insider’s Tour, the Sporting Events Committee is planning an Insider’s Tour of the Duffy Daugherty / Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Academic Center. The tour will offer one of the very first opportunities for the public to view the new Duffy Daugherty Football Building renovation and expansion, in addition to the Perles Plaza. The format will follow last year’s Stadium Tower tour with a box dinner, handouts, prizes, and speakers. The cost for the event is $17.50 and is limited to the first 80 Spartans. 2008 Non-Sporting & Cultural Events
The Non-Sporting Events Committee seeks to add value to Alumni Association membership for Mid-Michigan Spartans. This committee creates opportunities to boost club members’ involvement with the university, and interaction with other area alumni.

Habitat for Humanity Build: Planning is underway for a MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan Habitat build day this spring. Join with fellow alumni on this fun and rewarding day of service in our community. Locally, Habitat for Humanity has built 64 homes and helped more than 70 families move out of substandard housing. This event offers a great opportunity for alumni to work together as a team to help people in need in our community. Details will be available soon.

Homecoming Parade: Join in the fun of Homecoming by participating with the Mid-Michigan Club in the Homecoming Parade. Last year dozens of Mid-Michigan Spartan alumni and young future alumni enjoyed a festive evening of MSU spirit. Mark your calendar for October 3, and watch the this page for more information!
