MSU ALUMNI CLUB OF MID-MICHIGAN BOARD MEMBER APPLICATION
Each fall the Board solicits the Club membership for energetic, hard-working individuals interested in serving on the Board. In addition, all board members are typically given two committee assignments, which will require varying degrees of additional work and meeting time.

Your MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan Board of Directors consists of
18 members. New members are selected each December to serve a three
year term beginning in January. The Board meets on a monthly basis to plan
club events and activities.

Excellence in Teaching:
Our mission is to recognize outstanding MSU faculty for quality teaching and continued involvement in undergraduate education.

Textbook Scholarship:
Our mission is to provide textbook scholarships to 10 MSU freshmen based on academic and extracurricular achievements.

Our mission is to raise funds for charity and club activities.

MSU Sporting Events for Members:
The purpose of the Sporting Events Committee is to increase awareness of the club and offer value-added events to the Club’s members via activities centered around various MSU sports.

MSU Non-Sporting Events for Members:
The non-sporting events committee seeks to add value to alumni association membership for Mid-Michigan Spartans. This committee creates opportunities to boost club members’ involvement with the university, and interaction with other area alumni.

University Assistance/Mini-Grants

Endowed Scholarship/Crystal Ball:
This committee facilitates an annual semi-formal event to raise funds for the Club’s Endowed Scholarship Fund. The Spartan Crystal Ball committee plans and implements all the details for the Ball.

Young Alumni Committee:
This Committee works to engage young Spartan alumni early, encourage involvement in the MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan, and cultivate and maintain membership while being ambassadors for MSU promoting Spartan Pride.
